R&D Games
History
R&D Games was formed in 1989 by hobbyist Richard Breese, in order to publish his own designs. Richard is an accountant, and designs in his 'spare' time. Richard's sister Juliet is the illustrator on most of the R&D titles, with Richard doing the graphics. As gaming is 'just' a hobby, most of the R&D games have initially been released only in limited editions. Some of the titles have subsequently been reissued by other publishers or, in the case of Key Harvest, as a co-production. With the exception of Richard's first game, Chamelequin (featured on the twentieth anniversary logo), all games have first been released at the Essen Spiel, in Germany. R&D Games are based in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, England.
