Matt Calkins


Matt Calkins runs a software company called Appian, which he founded in 1999. He also serves on the MicroStrategy (NASDAQ: MSTR) Board of Directors. He has a B.A. with honors in Economics from Dartmouth, and won that school's prize for top graduate in that field.

Events he has won at the World Boardgaming Championships include Power Grid, Acquire, Tigris & Euphrates, Titan: the Arena, Attila, and War of 1812. He placed 3rd overall at the 2012 WBC (see Consul standings).
