Marco Legato

Italian game designer.

Hello ! My name is Marco Legato (my friends call me Lego) and I was born in Turin on May 31, 1975.

I've spent a lot of time traveling and playing games...

At the age of 8 I moved with my family to Brussels where I began to discover the passion for tabletop games (Le manoir hanté, L'ile boule de feu, Las Vegas, Blood Bowl)and where I learned french.

At 13, I returned back to Italy and I studied at Pessano con Bornago (Milan) and Chieri (Turin), while keeping playing games (from Risiko and Axis & Allies to Monopoly and Scotland Yard).

After the studies I began to work in a shipping company and actually I'm Logistic Supervisor in a company in Chieri, the city where I live.

On fall 2005 in a disco in Turin I met Benedetta (a beautiful girl from Perugia), the real Love of my life, that now his my wife and with whom I've built a wonderful family. We have two amazing kids: Lorenzo and Francesco.

My favourite games are: Puerto Rico, Caylus, El Grande, Olympus, 7 Wonders Duel, Jaipur, SW Rebellion, all the Feld ones and all the What's Your Game? ones.

Xi'an is my first game as an author (with my friend Francesco Testini) and I hope you'll enjoy it !
